This is actually a 4 year old tune that just now leaked, which was supposed to be onNatasha Ramos’ debut album back in 2007, but the album has been shelved and the tune went to Ashanti for her 2008 ‘Declaration’ album, but as we all know, that tune didn’t make the final cut, produced by The Neptunes. Ashanti: “The Decoration, Sence of Freedom, a Sence of just being powered growing up Strength courage, all that good stuff – that’s what the song is about. I was in Miami recording with Pharrell and he told me Robin was in town, he had a show tonite, maybe he’ll stop by, he came by, he was really really cool and the song was playing everyone was dancing, he came up with the melody and Bang”

Back in North America, Chicago’s Saint Alfred and Nike have teamed up to create a unique creative experience. From within, you’ll find a mix of Nike Sportswear’s latest collection, Saint Alfred x Nike Co-Lab pieces as well as Nike Team apparel from your favorite teams. In addition, one of Chicago’s own Cody Hudson has put together a collection of 6 exclusive art pieces for the space. Stay tuned for more events from this upcoming space which opens for business on April 15th and will run throughout the summer.
Saint Alfred and Nike welcome you to a first look at our newest collaboration. A unique experience that incorporates art, music, and fashion around this summers World Cup games in South Africa. Stocked with a mix of Nike Sportswear, Saint Alfred x Nike Co-Lab pieces, and officially licensed Nike Team apparel the space is scheduled to last throughout this summers World Cup games.With several events planned for summer 2010 we asked Chicago’s Cody Hudson to come thru and kick it off with us. Owner and Director of Chicago based design firm Struggle Inc., Cody has been on the International art scene for over a decade producing art of varying mediums on nearly every continent. Showings in Rocket Gallery (Tokyo), The Lazy Dog (Paris), Andrew Rafacz (Chicago), and MoCA to name a few.Cody created 6 new works that are exclusive to the space. Visitors will not only have the opportunity to purchase these but also a chance to sit with one of our designers and customize it on-site, allowing them an accelerated view of the design and production processCody’s designs will only be available until April 30th. On May 1st we start the process all over again with a new artist, new works, and new events for entire month.Nike x Saint Alfred opens for business on Thursday, April 15th. Hours of operation for April are 12 a.m. – 8 p.m., Thursday through Sunday. Taka Hayashi for Vans Vault 2010 Spring Collection
Influenced by traditionally crafted Native American goods, vintage military surplus and craftsmanship from 1960’s Italian-made footwear, Taka Hayashi presents his latest designs for the Vans Vault campaign. Spring/Summer 2010 introduces us to two new silhouettes in the line, the Prison Issue Lace LX and Priz Hi Lace LX, both combining generous detailing and premium material usage throughout. Two colorways of each sneaker are set for this release, both of which can now be found through Vans Vault accounts.

Surf/skate lifestyle brand Insight releases its lookbook for Spring 2010, offering a glimpse into new items for this season.
